The Imperfect could be called "the descriptive" Past Tense

Conjugation 

1) Regular verbs

 AR : jugar(to play): jugaba, jugabas, jugaba,jugábamos, jugabais, jugaban

ER : comer(to eat) : comía, comías, comía, comíamos, comíais, comían

IR : vivir(to live) : vivía, vivías, vivía, vivíamos, vivíais, vivían

Pay attention :
 For -ir and -er verbs, the "í" of the Imperfect tense always carries an accent.

2) Irregular verbs

Ir(to go) : iba, ibas, iba, íbamos, ibais, iban

Ser (to be) : era, eras, era, éramos, erais, eran
