    Simple past/Conditional


     

    In Spanish, the conditional tense can be used to express a future in the past :


    EX. : I knew that Peter would come ==> (yo) sabía que Peter vendría

    They promised they would send us a postcard from Spain ==> Prometieron que nos mandarían una postal desde España
